    Eyelash extensions have been a trend for a while now. I was always really hesitant to try it out for myself because losing or damaging my lashes was not a pleasant thought.


After waiting a year to try the Yumi Lash Lift a process where a keratin solution is used to curl your own lashes is applied, I had a somewhat bad experience with it. My lashes were curling at the top and actually started to break off leaving my lashes looking crooked, short and made applying mascara impossible.

I didn't apply mascara on my eyelashes for about a month and used Castor oil on them every day to help get them back to my normal length. It still didn't get them as strong and long as they se to be.
I made the decision to take the plunge and get eyelash extension finally.While eyelash extension have been massively popular for so long I was always so nervous to get them for fear of ruining my eyes or eyelashes. I think we have all heard some horror stories. 

When I made the decision I went to the only person in the business of lashes that I trust Lashes by Holly. I had been following her on Instagram for a while and I really respected how she took the time to educate her clients around the maintenance of their lash extensions. It's not cute when girls don't take care of their lashes. Just like anything in life you need to take care of your lashes and that means cleaning them too.

For my first set I went with the Classic set. Holly was very informative and walked me through the entire process to make sure that was what I liked. Because it was my first time I didn't want to do anything to extreme. My next set will be the Mega Lashes now that I'm used to having them.
Lash extension make my life so much easier, I'm not patient enough to sit in the mirror to apply makeup for to long so this fits into my lifestyle well.


Gone are the days of carrying your glue around with you.

Lash extensions are superior to all other lashes out there.

Hey there, It's Monday which is an accountability check in with myself. I like to go back in my journal and accomplish the tasks that I didn't get to finish the previous week and complete them. Something I have been meaning to do was complete a blog post I started in January. I started it and planned on completing quickly but for some reason #momlife, it got put off. Since I started sharing my health and fitness journey it has been important for me to stay 100% transparent with all I do. I can appreciate when the people I look up to for inspiration share their struggles open and honestly.  Now that we have survived the holidays it's time to get back to business.  The holidays are fun but let's face it we all feel a little sluggish, the brain fog is severe and the pants are a little tight.  In the start of a new year, everyone is gung-ho for change, accepting and inviting of a transformation. Since your eyes are open and you are willing to do a little work, I say we push for a little more together.  Everyone I talk to is ready to get back on the health train, assuming they need extreme cleanses and diets to get back on track. Changing our habits and following through for a few weeks will get us right back in the game, we just have to stay CONSISTENT. I'm here to show you that being fit and healthy doesn't have to be boring, restrictive and unsustainable.
